UHL Post-Flight Processing (PFP) Software
The UHL Flight Reconstruction System (FRS) features software from UHL Research Associates, Inc(UHL). UHL has over 20 years experience in modeling, simulation and operation analysis.

The PFP Software accepts timed flight position from the GPS data recorder and deduces:

  • Position in Latitude and Longitude
  • Altitude (K-ft)
  • Indicated Airspeed (kts)
  • Rate of Climb (K-ft/min.)
  • Load Factor (Gs)
  • Flight Path Elevation (degrees from horizontal)
  • Flight Path Heading (degrees from magnetic north)
  • Bank Angle (degrees)
  • Angle of Attack (degrees)
  • Body Axis Yaw, Pitch, & Roll (degrees)

UHL-FRS flight recontructions have been demonstrated by USAF testing to be accurate to within plus or minus 5% of truth. PFP Software FOQA options fully capable to process 1000's of flight hours for user-friendly operational trend analysis.

UHL (ACVAT) Visualization and Analysis Tool

UHL developed ACVAT as a generalized flight scenario 3D-visualization tool. It can display up to 32 aircraft in a flight scenario of any time length from selectable godseye or cockpit view. The cockpit view contains an aircraft panel display of typical flight instruments. Although ACVAT was originally developed for USAF air-combat scenarios, it has been enhanced to include typical GA aircraft shapes, airport runways with landing patterns and waypoints for typical cross-country flight display. ACVAT options can be controlled by mouse or keyboard and are easily learned by a user.
